The ISbusDiag is a free application which allows to turn your Smart Mobile device in a real fieldbus hand held device for FOUNDATION™ fieldbus advanced physical layer diagnostics by using the integrated diagnostics interface of the R.STAHL Fieldbus Power Supplies series 9412. No expensive and complex hand held diagnostics device and/or additional software tools are required.
In modern FF-H1 fieldbus installations the physical layer infrastructure can be a weak point because of the different components and the special requirements during installation for cables, fieldbus power supplies, device couplers and terminators.
To display these physical layer information of a fieldbus segment, connect the interface cable to the micro USB interface on your Smart Mobile device and connect the other side to the interface on the front side of the Fieldbus Power Supplies 9412 (not with 9412/**-300-**). No direct connection to the fieldbus is necessary, thus any negative influence as bouncing or accidentally short circuit is excluded.
The physical layer information appears automatically without any pre-configuration or settings!
The ISbusDiag is a “read only” application and shows various physical layer values like supply voltage & current, noise, jitter and unbalance but also status and information about the fieldbus power supplies like serial numbers or hard- and software versions.
A “Comm Live” bar indicates the online access to the physical layer data. For any failure or problem on the physical layer, a short failure description and the address of the respective device is indicated. All this simplifies trouble shooting and commissioning of fieldbus segments.

• turning your smart mobile device into a powerful tool for ad hoc trouble shooting, always at hand
• commissioning support during or after installation of fieldbus segments
• for regularly quick checks of fieldbus segments and maintenance
